I just finished watching Spiderman 3 for the 2nd time, sort of against my will. And forgive me, but it doesn't impress as much as the previous ones. The whole Spidey-goes-emo-and-violent thing? FAIL. Tobey used to be semi-hot, man. But the bangs? The eyeliner? Yeesh. PASS!

And what I truly hated about it was that the only truly pretty one in the movie, James Franco, gets his beautiful face burned off by a mini-bomb.

I know it's been a while since I've posted anything NEW (aside from the edits of my last post, which took me FAR too long, because dumb ole blogspot can't upload them all at one go and positioning them all is taking a lot outta me) because it's been a crazy week. The Singapore Church came down and we were 'having a ball'.

ahem.

most of them came down tuesday last week, so right after band practice we met up with them at Asia Cafe and stayed there till like 12 something -_- then the very next day was the midnight church service and we saw the rest of them. We sang. My so called 'blues-rock' song sort of tanked. But come on, I only had A DAY to practice. SATU HARI. which is not much. at all.

I got to scream a little though :) which was really invigorating.

apparently I'm a dumpling now. I saw the photos of the night (MAJOR GAG) Man I do not look good in photos.

After that of course, was CHRISTMAS DAY :D WHOOPEE! we started off as we always do: go to grandma's, pig out a little (the little cauliflower things were like WOW) but then Jason picked me up a couple hours later to go to Aunty Bernice's place, where she was having a makan as well. So we went.

we were horrendously late. awful people december-fooled me into thinking they hadn't eaten yet -_- then we ber-boraked a little before moving on to sunway pyramind, shopping until about 8.

Then we made the move to Grandpa and Grandma's.

This may not seem like a very climatic statement.

But it is.

Cause Uncle Ivor joined us.

With the full intention of going and seeing my father's family. Whom, the last time he'd met, had very well seemed like they wanted to rip his throat out.

Not that they aren't nice people or anything, They totally are. It's just, well..

It's kind of a long story. But mostly it revolves around my aunt, my uncle, and a very hideous divorce.

So yeah. I half-expected her to jump up and yell "what the heck is he doing here?", which naturally frightened the living daylights outta me, cause then Christmas would be ruined.

Thank God however, nothing of the sort happened. In fact, they were all very cordial, which was nice to see.

WE EVEN TOOK PICTURES. TOGETHER.

And so Christmas, thankfully, turned out all right. The presents ROCKED.

The 26th was the Dinner and Dance.


Which I shall write about when I obtain the photos :) and when my fingers aren't threatening to fall off.

The Singapore Trip (after much procrastination)

Today I cleaned out my room. I started at 9 a.m and finished at blinkin' 6:30 p.m.

AND I'M STILL NOT FINISHED!

I have enough junk in this room to fill all the warehouses of the Salvation Army!

not that I would give the Salvation Army junk. That would be cruel.

OKAY FINE. THE TRIP.

I don't expect anyone to read this but I'm just putting this here mainly so *I* don't forget. Because I don't want to.

SO WE LEFT at like 3 in the friggin morning, and honestly I really shouldn't complain because I didn't (and can't) drive for nuts. Daddy did all that. I pretty much passed out in the car.

No, he is not napping. At least I hope not.

reached at like 9. Finding the Lims's place was pretty easy. Went there, saw Jon and A. Linda (Clarissa and A. Ellice --> Miss Asia Pagent), then dumped our stuff and went to patronize the malls.

Jon came with us and led the way ^^ you would not believe how much weight that boy has lost. He no longer possesses the baby fat that provoked my sister to pinch him, make him cry, and laugh at his pain.

In fact, I think he'd be quite the ladykiller now. Minus the ego. ;) you heard it here first, folks.

so then we went to a bunch of malls (TAKASHIMAYAAA) with poor Jon tagging along with pretty much nothing to do. The toy sale at Taka was awesome though, as usual. They have it so friggin cheap there, it's just wrong.

then we sort of dumped our parents (who really didn't mind) and walked Orchard Road, which, even if it isn't as fancy or decorated as last year's presentation, still pulls its weight around. It was candy-themed this year. Very pretty.

I suppose that doesn't look very candy-themed. Oh well.

Walked around for awhile. It was pretty boring, as we were very broke and couldn't buy much (save for the BED-HEAD hair spray on I bought at Sasa's for s$13, which is SO CHEAP even after conversion to what these monkeys sell it for back here) so after the lovely Sasa lady did our eyebrows for free (such nice people) we kinda just roamed aimlessly until we came to this park bench where we spent the next three hours :| Which was, I think, the most fun of the day. We camwhored, drank ice-blendeds, watched freaky guys stare at us, got hit on by this perfume seller with acne who obviously thought he was all that, etc. Good times, good times.

obviously we had to meet up with the folks later and after saying bye to Mel we bussed back 'home'. Shaun was already back from NS. Was a little awkward. we kinda just stayed on opposite sides of the room till the rents finally left and the four of us were alone. Jon had to leave in the morning to Hong Kong with U. Lawrence, so we stayed up (and not just because we were dared to) until 4 a.m in the morning ber-boraking. we didn't even need to play monopoly, which is kind of a tradition when we visit.

The next day, Friday, was a whole 24 hours of full-fledged SHOPPING!

Because we, for the record, were still broke. Or at least equipped with less money than what was needed to buy anything of real value, Singapore being so DARN expensive -_-
